I am a conservation biologist with a focus on agricultural landscapes. My past research has been concentrated on the evaluation of agroforestry practices as transitional habitat for species in remnant forest fragments. My current research is focused on the evaluation of conservation  practices in agriculture for water quality. I am working at the National Soil Erosion Research Laboratory using the Agricultural Policy/ Environmental eXtender (APEX) hydrological model.
